Room in Shared Apartment

Hi! Dana and I are looking for a third roommate to join us in our 3 bed/1 bath apartment in Williamsburg starting September 1st for a 12-month lease. I’ll be swapping rooms with the roommate that is leaving, so my current room is the one up for grabs. 📍Location • East Williamsburg, right by the iconic Win Son Bakery • Convenient access to transit: 5 min walk to the L at Montrose Station, 10 min to G/J/M, and several bus stops are also close by • Easy commute to Manhattan and surprisingly accessible for rest of Brooklyn 🛌 Room • Option to remain fully furnished! Can leave all existing furniture - bed, dresser, curtains, etc. - behind for a reasonable price • Direct access to a balcony overlooking the courtyard. It’s a lovely bright room with natural light throughout the day • In-room AC/heater unit • Please note there is no closet, but miracles are possible between the dresser, wardrobe rack, and four underbed storage containers. All of which can be yours! 🏡 Apartment • Two-floor walk-up • Dishwasher and all kitchen appliances • Furnished common spaces • In building amenities - washer/dryers and small gym • Coming soon to the living room: a record player 💸 Rent/Application Requirements • $1,633/month and security deposit of same amount • Utilities approximately $115/month, bit higher in winter months due to heating costs and Con Ed being Con Ed • One-time lease change/name transfer fee of $750 • 650+ credit score with no late payments on credit report • Proof of income that shows at least $70K annual • Good landlord reference We’ve lived here for the past year and love the apartment’s proximity to Manhattan as well as Williamsburg proper! Some quick facts about us - in our mid-late 20s & interested in: literature, all things media, baking/cooking, spontaneous adventures, and endless rabbit holes. We're looking for someone who is clean (not to IKEA showroom levels, but more clean up after yourself), easy to chat with, and interested in keeping the apartment a cozy place for us all to decompress. Women/femme preferred and no pets or smoking. If you think you would be a good fit, please send a small blurb sharing your age, favorite activities/hobbies, occupation, and typical schedule 😊

Subleasing my full apartment out in East Williamsburg! Cute furnished 1.5 bed apt-flexible sublease-1/2 block to Morgan Ave / 14 mins to Union Square. Available July 1 (also earlier if needed). Situation...I moved to another apartment in the building. The apartment will be fully furnished with everything in the pics b/c I bought mostly new furniture for my new apt. I am flexible with sublease length/dates...my sister is moving from Australia and I'm holding the lease over until she arrives...date still TBD but apartment will definitely be available for the next 3-4 months. I'm also fine with shorter term, but nothing less than a month however. My main priority is just finding someone to take good care of my apartment! This is also a legit sublet - you don't have to hide from the landlord. Location is amazing...it's literally a 1/2 block from the Morgan ave stop on the L line and 14-mins to Union Square. The bedroom is huge...15 ft x 12 ft with lots of sunlight and decent size closet with upper suitcase storage. There's another room which can be used as a bedroom or an office (it's railroad style, but the large room does have it's own private entrance so you can potentially make it work in a roommate situation if need be - not super ideal but workable. There's also a built in desk with in the living room if you need to work from home. New washer and dryer in basement (btw, it's free!) About the neighborhood East Williamsburg is a gritty industrial neighborhood that's the best of both worlds. 14- mins to Union Square; walking distance to both Williamsburg and Bushwick (or one-stop over at Montrose or Jefferson for each). Otherwise all the bars / restaurants / galleries / street art/ EDM venues you need in the neighborhood…Otis, Eyeval, Sobre Masa, Falansai, Paloma’s, Mika, LoHi, Honey’s, Hell Phone, The Narrows, Syndicated, Roberta’s, Pine Box Rock Shop, El Santo, Mominette Bistro, Bunna Café, Tabare, Yia Yia’s Taverna. A bunch of great vintage stores. 2 blocks from Netflix studios.

Beautifully renovated inside and out, it stands out even on an already-idyllic leafy block. Here's what you're getting: ~ Enormous recreation/dining/living room — the kind of space that makes people say "wait, you live here?" ~ Large private backyard ~ Chef's kitchen with two fridges/freezers ~ Washer/dryer, central air, dishwasher, soundproof windows ~ A Breville espresso machine, grill, ice cream maker, juicer, and sous vide 🛏️ The Room Lower Level Bedroom: Available for August and long-term lease The available room is on the lower level with an en-suite bath — and it is massive. Honestly studio-sized, and the largest bedroom in the house. One of only two rooms with a private bathroom. A couple of honest notes: the room doesn't have windows, and has a curtained entrance rather than a door. But, the space can be a home gym, king bed with room to spare, dedicated WFH setup, guest space, indoor sauna situation all at once. Our current tenant has happily lived here for two years (with his dog!). Rent: $3400/month + utilities 🌿 Who We Are & What We're About This is a peaceful home first, a shared space second, and a little community always. We love the occasional dinner party, potluck, Sunday brunch, wine tasting, workshop, or living room concert — and we love when everyone participates, not just attends. The values that hold this house together: ~ Emotional attunement and genuine self-awareness ~ Giving > receiving energy ~ Personal growth, and cheering others on in theirs ~ Community-minded living — pitching in, showing up, keeping the space beautiful ~ Curiosity, creativity, wellness, and connection If that resonates — if you want a home that's actually a home — we'd love to hear from you.

This lovely garden apartment was recently gut-renovated — everything is new. It's the garden level of our townhouse and we occupy the apartment above if anything comes up. Ground floor, one step to get in, private keyless entrance that's completely separate from ours. The layout is open and easy to live in. The kitchen is properly set up if you cook — stone countertops, brand new appliances, dishwasher. There's a dining table by the window that gets nice morning light. The living room has a couch that converts to a bed if you have guests. Both bedrooms are generously sized with big closets. Off the main bedroom there's a home office nook — standing desk, monitor, 1 gigabit WiFi — which works really well for remote work. In-unit washer/dryer, AC in every room. Oh, and there's a private garden patio out back. We're looking for someone who'll take care of the space — quiet, clean, reliable. Professionals, remote workers, and small families are all welcome. Non-allergenic pets allowed. Longer stays preferred! The neighborhood is walkable and genuinely lovely — tree-lined blocks, brownstones, good coffee and food close by (Olmo, Badaboom, September Coffee, Tiny Cupboard, All Night Skate). The J/Z trains are a 5-minute walk, and the A/C is about 10 minutes, so getting anywhere in the city is straightforward. Rent: $200 per night Available: July 12 - September 27 Utilities: Included About This Lister We're Mary and Shanak — a Australian and Bangladeshi-Canadian couple who've been in Brooklyn for about a decade. We both work in tech (design side of things), and when we're not working you'll find us at a museum, trying a new restaurant, or hosting a dinner party or backyard barbecue. We moved into the townhouse upstairs earlier this year and are renting out the garden apartment below for the first time. We're pretty low-key as landlords — we're around if something comes up, but we're not the type to hover. We just want someone who'll enjoy the space as much as we do. Lister's Relationship to the Space I am the owner/landlord Rental requirements We'd love to hop on a quick call before moving forward — just to get a sense of each other. From there we'll ask for proof of income and references (for longer stays). Happy to answer any questions about the space in the meantime. Pets Policy Non-allergenic pets welcome.
